January 9, 2013. Oh hell no. I know its not much but it is snow and its freakin' me out. Is it Winter getting it out of its system or could it be a harbinger of whats to come. Either way, I don't like it.
In the middle of winter work is slow enough that we've had to lay a couple of people off. Less work means we need less parts so yes, this week I had to lay my wife, the parts queen off. Crap. It should only be for a few weeks so things could be worse. Since we're here for the winter I decided to catch up on my dental care. Ughh, I'm halfway through $4000 in repairs. In spite of the weather, layoffs and dental issues things aren't really too bad. The engine room walls have been reinsulated, the new engine is ordered and will arrive on schedule, the new mainsail is being built and the crew seems to enjoy our winter digs.

Ugh snow. We have found ways to tolerate it. It seems boat projects help with the shortened days. We will be sailing down through the Chesapeake in May of this year. Any tips?

Could be worse mate, could be in Rochester, just saying, though we do have good beer to get us through. Oh wait, I'm moving to Florida. Sorry :)

You guys can visit anytime.

Just when we all start to worrying about you, you pop up again. Going through the same thing here - yesterday it was 66° and sunny, 24 hours later it was 22° and sleet and 26kts of wind. You just gotta love Missouri.

Keep your head up. It could be worse - you could have Kintala as your winter project lol.

GH, enjoy the trip and if it works out, please stop in. Either parts or provisions, we've got wheels...

43, If you meant Florida when you said visit anytime then that might work out. I can't even fathom Rochester....lol.

Hey Deb, The Verandas not really anybodies idea of a dreamboat at the moment....but it is coming along, slowly.
